Elvi AW16

So lately everyone has been going a little nuts for the Christian Siriano for Lane Bryant collection. But let me tell you, he’s not the only one doing incredible collabs – you’ve GOT to take a look at the Hayley Hasselhoff for Elvi range. Chunky knits, silks and velvet? Yes. Please. Today I’ve got 2 looks generously sent from Elvi’s AW16 collection and a few are already firm favourites.

Elvi are based in the UK but ship worldwide, they have a range from casual and classic everyday, luxurious winter hero pieces and fancy party pieces. Prices are in pounds, so you’ll have to take into account the exchange rate but the quality is wonderful.

Who doesn’t love a zip through skirt?! This chunky knit skirt has a thick elastic waistband and exposed zip which unzips all the way! I especially love that the zip doesn’t go all the way to the bottom hem, creating a point of interest. I’ve paired this cream skirt with a black blouse. It’s a chiffon type fabric on the front and back yoke, with the rest of the back and sleeves being soft jersey. Cute little bell-shaped buttons add a nice touch, but if you’re busty you’ll likely need a well concealed safety pin as the buttons have a tendency to pop open. Knee high socks and black flats give this look a preppy edge but you could just as easily add stockings and some black boots for a more grunge look. I’m wearing size 16 in both pieces, I could have sized up on the skirt for a slightly more relaxed fit.

You will have seen this dress and jacket on my Instagram already. That day was super windy and I wanted to get some more shots to really show off the ruck green suede look dress and charcoal faux leather jacket. Little did I know it would be just as windy when I tried to take more pictures! Ahh well! At least it shows off the nice bell sleeve to full effect! This dress is incredibly easy to wear, and being faux suede it’s also easy to care for! Gold open rivet detailing on the neckline and that bell sleeve give it a 70’s feel and oh my, that green! Last time I wore it I paired the dress and jacket with black stockings and boots but this time I wanted to play up the fall colours so I went with an eggplant wedge boot and bare legs – winter doesn’t have to mean harsh blacks. The soft charcoal colour of this moto style faux leather jacket makes it versitile. It’s helping me fill the void of my much loved and now worn out black faux leather jacket. This jacket is sure to be a firm favourite and will see me through the transition into Melbourne spring (which so far has been pretty chilly!) I’m wearing size 16 in both pieces and the fit is spot on.
I’ve had a little sneak peek of some of the upcoming styles from Elvi and I can tell you, you’re in for a treat! Holiday styles like sequin blazers and flowing long sleeves dresses. I can’t wait to show you more!

Thanks to Elvi for providing these pieces for review, all thoughts and opinions are my own and true.
See you soon!
