Swim: Summer ready with City Chic

With Summer just around the corner, and the weather (finally) starting to warm up here in Melbourne I wanted to bring you a series of posts with different plus size and inbetweenie swimwear options. And to kick it off, who else but City Chic. City Chic always manage to get it right with their swimwear, with a nice range of bikinis, tankinis and one pieces in classic and fun prints.

City Chic generously let me pick a swimsuit to feature and of course I went straight for a 2 piece. My personal preference for bikinis is a high rise retro style bottom, although you’ll also catch me wearing low rise styles. You can’t go past a classic black bikini bottom, and the rouched panels and hot pink lining of the City Chic Classic Bikini Brief. It’s available in size 14 – 22 (I’m wearing 16).

I paired my high waisted briefs with a striped underwire bikini top which was so popular it has already sold out! But never fear, there are options! Like this Retro Spot Underwire Bikini Top, or the Mono Stripe Underwire Tankini or One Piece. The best bit about these City Chic bikinis? The moulded cup and underwire! I’m wearing 14 DD/E which gave me plenty of support, but for my super busty girls the cups might be on the smaller side (although, let’s be honest, us girls with boobs bigger than E have never had many really supportive options). The moulded cup and underwire made me feel supported and secure and added a nice little *boost* in contrast to other swimsuits which can leave me feeling a little saggy.

A big shout out to City Chic for gifting me this swimsuit via Shopping Links and my beautiful friend Jess for braving the wind and cold to take these pics for me!

Do you know any other underwire options for us busty girls? If so, let me know!

See you soon!
